Author, Irv Korman, is also an entertainment writer, theater critic, actor, clown, and magician. He was a speech and language therapist for the Akron Public Schools for 30 years and a Senior Lecturer in The School of Communication for The University of Akron for 13 years.

Irv has received four Communicator Awards for his writing and one Chanticleer Award for his acting.

A resident of Akron, Ohio for over 70 years, Irv received both his Bachelor of Arts in Speech Pathology and his Master of Arts in Theater from The University of Akron.

Irv and Francine, his wife of 50 years, have two daughters, Julie and Melanie.

In his spare time Irv can be found keeping up his prized 1978 Volkswagen convertible and enjoying the company of close friends.

Irv is a member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators.
